Service
Family Medicine
Comprehensive primary care for every age, from newborns to seniors. Family physicians are the only specialists qualified to treat most conditions across an entire lifespan.
Family medicine is the front door to the rest of your care. It is where the ordinary gets handled, where the unusual gets noticed, and where someone keeps track of the whole picture across years rather than across a single appointment.
Dr. Dalton sees patients of any age with any diagnosis. He is also direct about the limits of that: when another specialist can provide a level of care you deserve, he will say so and make the referral.
What Primary Care Covers Here
- Annual physicals, wellness visits, and preventive screening
- Acute illness and minor injury
- Ongoing management of chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid disease
- Laboratory testing and imaging, ordered and interpreted in-house
- Coordination with specialists, hospitals, and your existing care team
- Nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement guidance
Access to a consistent primary care physician is associated with lower infant mortality, higher birth weights, immunization rates above national standards, lower total healthcare costs, and longer life expectancy. Continuity is not a nicety. It is the mechanism.
A Different Emphasis
Most primary care is built around managing numbers. That has value, and it is not the whole job. Conventional pharmaceuticals are effective at blocking a disease pathway, and considerably less effective at building health in the person taking them.
So the questions here run a layer deeper. Why is the blood pressure elevated. What is driving the inflammation. What in your sleep, diet, movement, stress, or structure is producing the number on the chart. Where it is safe and appropriate, Dr. Dalton will guide you from pharmaceuticals toward supplements, physical activity, whole foods, and emotional healing.
That is a collaboration, not a prescription. It works best for patients who want to take an active part in it.
Controlled Substances
This practice does not take on controlled substance prescriptions. Dr. Dalton considers opioids and similar medications to mask and numb symptoms without producing actual healing, and to carry a real risk of dependence.
If your goal is to come off a controlled substance, he will gladly coordinate with your current prescriber to taper safely, and will work alongside you throughout. If ongoing controlled substance management is what you need, this is not the right practice, and we would rather be clear about that before you book than after.
What To Expect At Your First Visit
Bring prior records, recent labs, imaging, and a complete list of everything you take, including supplements. Expect a longer appointment than you may be used to. The history is where most of the useful information lives, and it does not survive being rushed.
Insurance And Cost
We now accept insurance. Contact the office to confirm whether your specific plan is covered, as credentialing with additional providers is still in progress. A Sliding Fee Schedule based on household size and income is available, so ask if cost is a barrier.
